| Today marks six months since Donald Trump dragged the country into a war against Iran that has no end in sight, and is forcing Americans to pay record August gas prices at the pump. No wonder public support for the war just hit a new low this week.
REMINDER: On the day he started the war, Trump declared it was “already a success.” Then a few weeks later in April, he proclaimed the war was a “Total and complete victory. 100%.” Six months later, all North Carolinians have seen is a string of broken promises.
Still, Laurie Buckhout has gone out of her way to support Republicans’ forever war in Iran, going as far as to say all of the harms facing working families and lives lost are “worth it.”
House Republicans also promised lower costs on day one and no more new wars. Yet Buckhout still supports funding for Trump’s yet-to-end war in the Middle East that has caused gas prices to spike.
DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Americans are losing their lives and North Carolinians are struggling to make ends meet – Laurie Buckhout thinks it’s all ‘worth it.’ Tired of the string of broken promises and higher costs, voters are going to reject Buckhout this November and send Don Davis back to Congress to fight for them.” |
