Six Months Later, Mike Lawler Thinks Trump’s Reckless Iran War is “Absolutely Worth It”

Yorkers’ gas prices are above $4.15 per gallon and Mike Lawler continues to fund Trump’s reckless war of choice

Today marks six months since Donald Trump dragged the country into a war against Iran that has no end in sight, and is forcing Americans to pay record August gas prices at the pump. No wonder public support for the war just hit a new low this week.

REMINDER: On the day he started the war, Trump declared it was “already a success.” Then a few weeks later in April, he proclaimed the war was a “Total and complete victory. 100%.” Six months later, all New Yorkers have seen is a string of broken promises.

MAGA lapdog Mike Lawler has stood with the president every step of the way, claiming rising costs from the war are “absolutely worth it,” arguing it was a “righteous decision” and standing by as Donald Trump’s Treasury secretary dismissed the pain Hudson Valley families are feeling at the pump as a “blip.”

Lawler has voted five separate times to continue the war, and voted to support funding for it, making New Yorkers pay the price as their gas prices skyrocket. He has also been SILENT on the deplorable conditions and 9 month return of the sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln.

DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“New Yorkers oppose the war, are pissed about higher gas prices, and are left worrying about their loved ones aboard the USS Lincoln. Meanwhile, Mike Lawler thinks it’s all ‘absolutely worth it’ and would rather give Donald Trump a blank check. Service members, military families, and voters across NY-17 demand better than Lawler’s cruelty – and that’s Cait Conley.”
