Six Months Later, NEPA Families Are Suffering From the Rob Bresnahan-backed Iran War

Gas prices are above $4 per gallon and Bresnahan continues to fund a reckless war of choice

Today marks six months since the start of the Rob Bresnahan-backed war in Iran that has no end in sight, and is forcing NEPA families to pay record August gas prices at the pump. No wonder public support for the war just hit a new low this week.

Bresnahan promised lower costs on day one and no more new wars. Yet he has voted repeatedly to support funding for this war of choice that has caused gas prices to spike.

And Bresnahan has even admitted publicly that the war “needs to come to a resolution expeditiously” – despite the fact that he keeps voting to let the conflict drag on.

Six months into this cost-spiking conflict, Northeastern Pennsylvanians deserve to know: Why does Rob Bresnahan keep voting to continue the war in Iran?

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
Rob Bresnahan campaigned on a promise to lower costs and invest here at home, but instead he is shipping Northeastern Pennsylvanians’ tax dollars overseas on a war in Iran that has made everything more expensive. Bresnahan’s broken promises are going to cost him his job in November.”
