| Today marks six months since Donald Trump dragged the country into a war against Iran that has no end in sight, and is forcing Americans to pay record August gas prices at the pump. No wonder public support for the war just hit a new low this week.
REMINDER: On the day he started the war, Trump declared it was “already a success.” Then a few weeks later in April, he proclaimed the war was a “Total and complete victory. 100%.” Six months later, all Floridians have seen is a string of broken promises.
Still, earlier this month, Ryan Elijah issued his full-throated endorsement of the continued war. Desperate to be the most extreme in his primary, Elijah voiced his support of another forever war calling for regime change to “finish the job.”
House Republicans also promised lower costs on day one and no more new wars. Yet Elijah supports Trump’s yet-to-end war in the Middle East that has caused gas prices to spike and taken the life of at least one young man from Central Florida.
In stark contrast, Bale Dalton has served in the Navy and Navy Reserve for over two decades and understands the stakes of this reckless war. That’s why Bale has called for an end to Republicans’ failure in Iran and stood up for the soldiers on the USS Lincoln while Elijah remained silent.
