For the second time in 24 hours, Zach Nunn has voted for extremist Jim Jordan for speaker. Nunn has had every opportunity to embrace a bipartisan governing coalition, but once again caved to the demands of his far-right colleagues.
As Rep. Tom Cole introduced Jordan before the vote, he reminded Nunn and dysfunctional House Republicans that Jordan is hellbent on going after Iowans’ Social Security and Medicare.
Let’s not forget that Jordan also led efforts to ban abortion nationwide with no exceptions for rape or incest and has voted against every single Farm Bill during his time in Congress.

“Zach Nunn doesn’t care if Iowans’ hard-earned Social Security and Medicare are on the line – his biggest priority is siding with the most extreme members of his party.”
