| Mike Lawler has once again been caught indulging in his favorite pastime: saying one thing at home while doing the opposite in DC.
Yesterday, Lawler boasted on social media about touring Westchester Medical Center, praising the center’s hard workers and critical services. But he forgot to include one critical piece of information: Westchester Medical Center was at risk of closure after Lawler voted for the largest cut to Medicaid in history, not once, but TWICE.
Lawler can try to hide behind phony political photo ops, but his constituents are well aware of the fact that he voted to cut over $100 million in revenue for local hospitals and even accused Hudson Valley hospitals and doctors of “parroting talking points” and lying about the devastating Medicaid cuts hitting their communities.
DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Mike Lawler’s latest phony photo-op is an insult to the thousands of Hudson Valley families whose health care costs are skyrocketing because he refused to act. Lawler is a complete and total fraud, and voters will remember his cruelty this November.” |
