In 15 Key Congressional Districts, the DCCC Asks Voters: If Trump is the Republican Standard-Bearer, What Happened to Your GOP Reps’ Standards?
In the wake of Donald Trump’s attack on the Khan family, and House Republicans’ continued support of his candidacy, the DCCC is launching a paid Twitter campaign in 15 key congressional districts and Washington D.C.
The message is simple: Donald Trump is the standard-bearer for all House Republicans, which calls into question their values, morals and standards. And the House Republicans who stand by Donald Trump for President are putting their party over the good of the country. House Republicans’ support of Trump – even in the face of his un-American attacks on the Gold Star Khan family – are just the latest and most disturbing example.
The Twitter ads being promoted in the 15 districts read: “Trump attacked a Gold Star family & he’s House Republicans’ standardbearer. What happened to their standards? WATCH: Standards”
“Donald Trump’s hate and disrespect towards people across America, including Gold Star families, knows no limits. What’s worse is that House Republicans stand with him and still think he should be President,” said DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján. “As general election voters tune in with distress about the Republican party’s un-American standard-bearer, this ad campaign questions all House Republicans’ standards, morals and values.”
