When Standing Up For The Central Valley’s Dreamers, David Valadao Is All Hat And No Cattle

Last year, voters in CA-10 discovered racist GOP candidate Ted Howze’s extreme and hateful views towards Dreamers, in which Howze compared them to criminals.

Fast forward to this year, David Valadao followed the lead of his DC GOP boss Kevin McCarthy, and back in March helped finance Howze’s failing campaign.

NOW, after three weeks of reports detailing Howze’s social media posts comparing Dreamers to criminals and pedophiles and calling for their deportation, Valadao’s only response was to hide behind his campaign spokesperson who said Valadao was “disappointed.”

Yet again, Valadao’s spineless politics align him with his party instead of Central Valley families.

Don’t forget: while representing CA-21, a district that is over 60 percent Latino, David Valadao gave them lip service, telling the Central Valley’s Dreamers that he’d “do everything in his power” to help them. But once Trump and the House GOP came calling, Valadao went on to vote eight times to block the DREAM Act.

“Much like his record in Washington, it’s too late for David Valadao to make this right. With the chance to condemn real hatred within his party, he showed the Central Valley his values match his voting record: he’s just another Trump and McCarthy yes-man,” said DCCC spokesperson Andy Orellana.
