“Once again it’s clear that Congressman Terry’s 16 years in Washington have blinded him to the reality that Nebraskans aren’t going to support someone who shut down the government and said he needed to keep his paycheck to pay for his ‘nice house.’ Brad Ashford gave voters strong reasons to choose him thanks to his record of working with both Democrats and Republicans in the Unicameral to cut taxes, balance the budget and create jobs – all in contrast to Congressman Terry’s out-of-touch priority to keep his government paycheck while he shut down the government for everyone else.”
