Like Trump, Jones Has Record of Disrespecting Women
This weekend, Scott Jones pretended to show a modicum of political courage but really only exposed himself as a desperate and calculated politician. His too-little, too-late posturing came only after shocking video footage exposed Trump bragging about regularly groping women without their consent. Jones did not seem bothered enough to withdraw his vote for Trump when he called women fat pigs and slobs, Mexicans rapists and murderers, and said women who work are dangerous – the list goes on.
Perhaps Jones’ posturing, less than a month from Election Day, is intended to distract from his own problems with women. Jones is accused of sexually harassing a twenty-six-year-old female deputy who worked under him.
The Sacramento Bee reported that while under oath, the female deputy alleged that in the jail’s law library Jones “abused his position as her informal supervisor to grope, kiss and make other unwelcome sexual advances,” harassing her approximately thirty times.
“Scott Jones exposed himself as devoid of political courage and his too-little, too-late posturing is just an attempt to distract from his own pattern of disrespect towards women,” said Barb Solish of the DCCC.
