“In this debate, Iowa voters saw the clear difference between Staci Appel, a mother of six who led the fight in Iowa to ensure equal pay for equal work, and Washington insider David Young, who supports a reckless and irresponsible budget plan that puts a bigger burden on the middle class while cutting taxes for the out-of-state millionaires who are funding his campaign. For middle class Iowans, there’s no question that Staci Young would have their backs and David Young would make them pay more from cradle to grave. If you’re a student, David Young would make you pay more while the ultra-wealthy get big tax cuts. If you’re a senior, David Young would make your out-of-pocket Medicare costs go up by thousands of dollars while the special interests keep their tax loopholes.”
