Steven Horsford Puts Nevada’s Workers First

“The Culinary Union applauded Horsford for introducing the Tipped Income Protection and Improvement Act”

As Las Vegas’ economy struggles under a “Trump Slump,” with fewer tourists due to tariffs and skyrocketing gas prices, Congressman Steven Horsford is continuing to fight for fairer wages for Nevada’s tipped workers.

Ahead of this year’s Tax Day, Horsford met with the local Culinary Union to discuss his bill to make No Taxes on Tips permanent, eliminate the sub-minimum wage, and put guardrails in place to better protect tipped workers – proposals Horsford has been fighting for for years.

REMINDER: Under House Republicans’ Big, Ugly Law, No Taxes on Tips expires after just four years, while tax cuts for billionaires are permanent.

DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“Nevada’s tipped workers know Steven Horsford has their back, and that’s why they will overwhelmingly vote to send him back to Congress in November.”
