Today, the Supreme Court rejected Planned Parenthood’s challenge to stop states from systematically restricting access to reproductive health care made available through Medicaid.
House Republicans have now been given a legal pathway to restrict access to reproductive health care nationwide.
The Court’s decision comes just weeks after House Republicans passed the Big, Ugly Bill that would “defund” Planned Parenthood through historic cuts to Medicaid, shut down health centers, and undermine access to reproductive care.
DCCC Communications Director Courtney Rice:
“Whether it be in the Courts or in the Congress, House Republicans are scheming behind closed doors to rip away reproductive health care for millions of Americans. Their extremism will not stand next November.”
