Supreme Court Gives Miller-Meeks, Hinson, Nunn Greenlight to Ban Reproductive Care

Yesterday, the Supreme Court rejected Planned Parenthood’s challenge to stop states from systematically restricting access to reproductive health care made available through Medicaid.

Miller-Meeks, Hinson, and Nunn have now been given a legal pathway to further restrict access to Iowans’ reproductive health care.

The Court’s decision comes just weeks after Miller-Meeks, Hinson, and Nunn cast the deciding votes to pass the GOP Tax Scam that would defund Planned Parenthood through historic cuts to Medicaid, shut down health centers, and undermine access to reproductive care. This also comes after Planned Parenthood already announced it will be closing over half its Iowa clinics “as the organization braces for the possible financial impact should the bill become law.”

DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Whether it be in the Courts or in the Congress, Mariannette Miller-Meeks, Ashley Hinson, and Zach Nunn are scheming behind closed doors to rip away reproductive health care from Iowa women. Miller-Meeks, Hinson, and Nunn are jeopardizing women’s health care and are out-of-step with Iowans.”
