Supreme Court Strikes Down Bump Stocks Ban, Returns Issue To NRA Puppets Like Rob Mercuri

Today, the Supreme Court sided with the NRA and struck down a Trump-era ban on bump stocks. The issue now returns to the states where NRA puppets like Rob Mercuri are casting the deciding vote against similar bans that would keep communities in Western Pennsylvania safe.

Bump stocks were responsible for the deadliest mass shooting in the country’s history, but none of that matters to Mercuri as long as the NRA continues to support his campaign.

Mercuri has bragged about having the highest possible NRA rating, and now he’s doing their dirty work while running for Congress.

The far-right state representative has cozied up to dark money donors and special interest groups his entire career, and he’s taken it upon himself to be a rubber stamp for their dangerous agenda.

DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“The Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the bump stock ban is another reminder that Western Pennsylvania can’t afford a dangerous extremist like Rob Mercuri. Mercuri is a loyal foot soldier for the NRA and will always put their interests ahead of PA-17.
