Susie Lee Bill to Fight Fentanyl Epidemic, Protect Nevada’s Youth Signed Into Law

Lee bill authorizes $64 million to fight youth fentanyl epidemic

Nevadans are seeing walltowall coverage of a new law championed by Congresswoman Susie Lee that authorizes $64 million in federal funding to fight the youth fentanyl epidemic in Nevada and across the country.

Signed into law earlier this month, Lee’s bipartisan Treatment, Recovery, Education, Awareness, and Training (TREAT) Youth Act invests in youth drug addiction prevention programs and makes it easier for Nevadans to get the medication they need to combat opioid use disorder. Lee’s legislation overwhelmingly passed the House with bipartisan support. A companion bill unanimously passed the Senate.

DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“Susie Lee is fighting for the issues that matter most to Nevadans. She’s the bipartisan deal maker families need in Congress to call balls and strikes, get work done, and deliver real solutions for her community.”
