Thanks to Democrats’ economic leadership, America is once again beating expectations as it continues to add back jobs following the pandemic. Here are some notes from the jobs report:

In June the US added 372,00 jobs.

The unemployment rate holds steady at 3.6%.

Total US manufacturing employment passed its February 2020 levels.
-
Private sector employment has fully recovered from the pandemic.
-
“The number of persons employed part time for economic reasons declined,” meaning people who want full-time employment can get it.

98% of jobs lost during the pandemic are now back.
This jobs report shows that Democrats’ economic and labor leadership yields results. While adding good paying jobs, Democrats continue their fight to lower the high costs Americans are facing. Republicans cannot say the same, voting against:

The American Rescue Plan, which got the economy back on track and helped spark these job gains;

The Infrastructure Law, which will create good paying jobs and improve America’s infrastructure;

Capping the price of insulin at $35 per month;
-
The COMPETES Act, which would boost our competitiveness with China, create jobs, and reduce prices by strengthening our supply chains;

The Lower Food & Fuel Costs Act, which would lower grocery costs, lower gas prices, and tackle supply chain challenges;

And a bill that would stop oil companies from gas price gouging at the expense of American consumers.
