“Voters in Pinellas County are fed up with Anna Paulina Luna’s self-serving politics that leave hardworking families behind. Instead of working to lower costs or address any of the concerns that are keeping Floridians up at night, Luna is supporting extreme abortion bans and sowing chaos and dysfunction in Congress. That’s why voters are excited to elect Whitney Fox, an abortion rights champion who will ensure Florida’s 13th Congressional District has the representation they deserve,” said DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene.

Subject: The Case Against Anna Paulina Luna
Anna Paulina Luna is only looking out for herself – and the nearest camera. She’s an attention seeking, anti-choice extremist who couldn’t care less about Florida families. She supports the cruel Florida abortion ban that’s wreaking havoc for women and is a proud member of the House Freedom Caucus that’s sowing chaos in Congress. Luna has proven that she has no problem lying if she thinks it’ll help her get ahead and doesn’t seem to have any interest in actually delivering for Floridians.
Whitney Fox is the perfect antidote to Luna’s failed tenure. Fox is a local community leader and mother to two young girls who stepped up to run for Congress because she doesn’t want her daughters growing up with fewer rights than she did. She’s focused on lowering costs and protecting abortion rights and is eager to work across the aisle to put Florida first.
Voters will see the clear contrast between Anna Paulina Luna and Whitney Fox this November and fire Luna for her disastrous job of representing Florida’s 13th Congressional District.
Anna Paulina Luna and Her Chaos Caucus
One thing about Anna Paulina Luna, she’s there for the chaos – not the work. If there’s drama in the U.S. House of Representatives, Anna Paulina Luna is either somewhere nearby or is sprinting to get there, find the cameras, and make it about herself. She’ll go so far as threatening national security jobs to draw attention to her UFO obsession. It’s no wonder she’s a part of the House Freedom Caucus that kept trying to oust their own GOP speaker every other week and has consistently played games with government funding. However, these games come at a heavy price and working families in Florida’s 13th Congressional District could be left footing the bill.
Every time Luna and her colleagues have irresponsibly flirted with a government shutdown, Luna was ignoring the fact that her district has about 7,000 federal civilian workers who could have been impacted. A shutdown would disrupt important services and programs that everyday Florida families and small businesses depend on. It could impact SNAP benefits for residents with low-incomes and slow down air travel which could impact tourism. Particularly harmful for Floridians, FEMA’s ability to review and approve applications for aid after a major disaster would slow down. Despite these threats to her own constituents, Anna Paulina Luna is working with her chaos caucus friends to sow more division in Congress.
Whitney Fox understands that Floridians deserve “leadership that is going to put politics aside and focus on making everyday life affordable again.” She will work to lower costs and already has a plan to lower the price of home insurance. Fox would prioritize bipartisanship and is ready to work with both Republicans and Democrats to finally toss the chaos aside and deliver real results for Florida’s 13th Congressional District.
Anna Paulina Luna Supports Florida’s Near-Total Abortion Ban
Women in Florida are currently living under a near-total abortion ban, forcing them to travel hundreds of miles out of state to get basic reproductive health care – and Anna Paulina Luna is thrilled. The National Abortion Federation, which runs the National Abortion Hotline, says that in the two months following the Florida abortion ban, they’ve seen a “575% increase in people who the Hotline supported to travel out of the state for care, compared to the same time in 2023.”
The current draconian policy bans abortion before most women even know they’re pregnant. However, that didn’t stop Anna Paulina Luna from supporting the oppressive law. In fact, the self-described “pro-life extremist” said that “frankly, if you don’t like it [abortion bans], move out of your state. Move somewhere else.”
This comes as no surprise to Floridians who’ve already seen Luna spew her extreme anti-choice views. She made them well-known when she celebrated the overturning of Roe v. Wade, paving the way for the Florida abortion ban. Luna also has a disturbing obsession with consistently touting her opposition to exceptions for rape survivors.
When it comes to stripping away reproductive freedom, Anna Paulina Luna doesn’t just talk the talk. She has turned her dangerous, anti-women’s rights views into action: she’s a part of the Republican Study Committee that supports a national abortion ban without exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the woman. The bill could also jeopardize access to IVF nationwide – an issue Luna has deceptively tried to save face on. Anna Paulina Luna introduced a do-nothing, fake IVF bill to posture as a champion for women’s health care, knowing that the meaningless legislation wouldn’t actually protect access to IVF. Her record on women’s rights and health care is dangerous and could cost women their lives.
This is a stark contrast to Whitney Fox, who has made protecting abortion rights a cornerstone of her campaign. Fox has volunteered at an abortion clinic “forming a human shield to escort women from their cars to the center’s entrance” while “protesters screamed and hurled insults.” She’s spoken out against the Florida abortion ban and in favor of the ballot amendment to protect abortion rights state-wide. That’s why Whitney Fox is endorsed by Planned Parenthood Action Fund – she’s the only candidate in this race who will fiercely fight to protect women and defend abortion rights.
Anna Paulina Luna: Florida’s George Santos
“Is Anna Paulina Luna the new George Santos?” There certainly isn’t a shortage of lies from the vulnerable freshman incumbent to merit the comparison. Luna said she was raised as a Messianic Jew by her father, however “three members of Luna’s extended family said that her father was Catholic, and that they were not aware of him practicing any form of Judaism while Luna was growing up.” In fact, according to Luna’s uncle, her “paternal grandfather was a Nazi, having fought in the German army during World War II.”
There are also inconsistencies around a supposed “home invasion” Luna allegedly experienced that contradicts the police records of the event and the recollection of her own roommate at the time. This penchant for exaggerating the truth seemingly isn’t new for Luna, that same former roommate added, “She would really change who she was based on what fit the situation best at the time.” Luna’s own relatives have also contradicted her claims of coming from an estranged family.
While Anna Paulina Luna may brush off her lies and inconsistencies, Floridians know that they can’t trust anything she says. Her dishonesty about even the simplest of things proves why voters cannot trust her to advocate for them in Congress.

PATH TO VICTORY
Florida has a statewide ballot initiative to protect abortion rights this November. Every time pro-abortion rights referendums have been on the ballot since Roe fell, they’ve passed. This is advantageous for Whitney Fox given Luna’s radical and unpopular agenda to restrict abortion access, which stands in stark contrast to Whitney’s fierce advocacy for abortion rights. Fox out-raised Luna in two consecutive quarters this year, indicating her campaign’s strong support and momentum.
Voters will see that this race ultimately comes down to who is fighting for them and who is looking out for themselves. Whitney Fox will work nonstop to protect abortion rights and lower costs. Anna Paulina Luna has proven that she will chase the drama and headlines, work to ban abortion rights, and lie to voters every chance she gets. The choice this November could not be more clear.
