“Working people in Nevada are tired of the same old reckless attacks on their health care from Washington Republicans, which is why they will reject Dan Rodimer and his out-of-touch agenda that will hurt Nevada’s seniors. Nevadans elected Susie Lee because they know she is focused on working across the aisle in order to deliver results. In Congress that is what she has done, and Nevadans will re-elect her this November.” – DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos

Subject: The Case Against Dan Rodimer
Dan Rodimer, the failed former WWE wrestler and criminal congressional candidate for Nevada’s 3rd District, has shown he will do and say anything to be center stage. But he isn’t the heavyweight fighter Nevadans are looking for. Rodimer was rejected by Southern Nevada voters in 2018 and now that they will have a further opportunity to look over his extensive criminal past and lack of policy heft, it’ll become quite clear he can’t deliver for a district that demands independent and solution-oriented leadership that’s not afraid of building bridges.
Rodimer’s lack of credentials, criminal past and record of recklessness shows just how dangerous he can be for Nevada’s families. Rodimer supports the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, which protects 337,100 people with preexisting conditions in NV-03, wants to undermine public education, and would serve as a rubber stamp for more tax windfalls for big corporations. Rodimer has already shown himself to be a failed politician who has no clue as to the economic and health care challenges Nevada’s families face today.
Meanwhile, Susie Lee has taken her career of leadership in Nevada to Congress, working across party lines to solve problems and deliver for Southern Nevada families. And the results show: from her bipartisan amendment to bring more doctors to the Las Vegas Valley to working to secure education funding for Nevada classrooms, Susie Lee is doing the work for the people of Nevada.
The contrast between a failed candidate with a long criminal record versus a proven bipartisan leader in Congresswoman Susie Lee could not be clearer. Nevadans want representation that provides real solutions, not a criminal candidate with a shady past. The families of Southern Nevada know they have that in spades with the leadership of Congresswoman Susie Lee.

“Republicans still can’t seem to get their act together here, illustrating why it’s so tough for them to win the House back. The early 2020 GOP field is led by former state Treasurer Dan Schwartz […] and former WWE wrestler Dan “Rodman” Rodimer, who has been arrested three times on assault allegations outside the ring, including at a Florida Waffle House. Not surprisingly, Republicans are searching for more viable alternatives.” [Cook Political Report, 10/18/2019]
Dan Rodimer: Violent, Dishonest and Dangerous for Nevada Families
DAN RODIMER’S EXTENSIVE VIOLENT LEGAL HISTORY SEVERELY CALLS INTO QUESTION HIS ABILITY TO SERVE NEVADA
Dan Rodimer, was arrested in 2011 for misdemeanor battery and publicly lied about what took place during an altercation at a Waffle House in Florida. In interviews, Rodimer claimed he “pushed a bully” that night; however, police records showed that Rodimer was harassing a group of women at the restaurant and assaulted a man who told Rodimer to leave the women alone. But this instance was not a one-time incident for Rodimer: again in 2011 and then in 2013, Rodimer faced additional allegations of assault both for punching men at or outside of night clubs. Then again in 2006, the police were called to Rodimer’s personal residence after the authorities were called due to a loud domestic argument between Rodimer and his then-partner over another man calling his then-girlfriend’s phone.
Dan Rodimer’s rap sheet speaks for itself – it’s clear he never pulls a punch on his own behalf but won’t defend and fight for those in need – like Nevada’s families. With a criminal record that extensive, it’s hard for Nevadans to think that Rodimer’s record will be one of defending the needs of hardworking Nevada families.
Meanwhile, when Nevada’s families are looking for help, they know Congresswoman Susie Lee is ready to fight to find the solutions they need by bringing people together. Her record reflects that, from her work to secure education funding for Nevada classrooms, to passing bipartisan measures to lower the cost of prescription drugs, bring more doctors to Nevada and expand benefits that Nevada’s veterans deserve. Nevadans know the focused and localized efforts of their Congressional representation, Susie Lee.
RODIMER’S DANGEROUS AGENDA FOR NEVADA’S FAMILIES – REPEAL HEALTH CARE PROTECTIONS, CORPORATE TAX GIVE-AWAYS, HURTING SENIORS
HEALTH CARE CUTTING CRUSADER, CORPORATE GIVEAWAYS, STIFFING NEVADA’S SENIORS
Dan Rodimer is clearly not just dangerous to those in his proximity, but dangerous for Nevada’s families when it comes to protecting and bolstering their health care. Rodimer has joined the rest of the Republican repeal health care brigade, calling for the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, which would do away with protections for those with preexisting conditions like asthma, cancer and diabetes, and even allow insurance companies to discriminate based on gender. For 58,000 people in Nevada’s 3rd District, repealing health care reforms like Rodimer wants would put their coverage in jeopardy.
When Rodimer isn’t trying to kick off thousands from their health care, he’s supporting the GOP’s Washington Tax Scam that gave 83% of its benefits to the wealthiest 1% of Americans, and high earners like himself, while exploding the deficit by $1.5 trillion. Rodimer has fallen in line as Washington Republicans say they will pay for their tax handouts to corporations and wealthy individuals by putting the future of Social Security and Medicare — which hundreds of thousands of Nevadans have paid into and depend on every month — at real risk. While Rodimer can afford to gamble with the future, the thousands of seniors who call Nevada home cannot.
Meanwhile, Rep. Susie Lee has not only opposed cuts to health care and protections for seniors in her state, but she has spent her career as an education advocate, and now as a Congresswoman, fighting for Nevada’s families. By passing bipartisan measures to lower the cost of prescription drugs, bring more doctors to Nevada and expand benefits Nevada’s veterans deserve, while fighting to secure funding for Las Vegas classrooms, she has shown that she knows the challenges Nevada’s families face.
OPPOSED TO SENSIBLE GUN SAFETY SOLUTIONS THAT NEVADANS SUPPORT
When Rodimer isn’t calling for dangerous cuts to our health care system, he is advocating against common-sense gun safety, telling voters that “‘if you start putting regulations on [guns] it’s just going to open the door to do more and more regulations.” These regulations that Rodimer finds so burdensome are actually sensible solutions that a majority of Nevadans and Americans support, like background checks and a ban on bump stocks – a device that allowed for the largest mass shooting in American history and took place in the heart of Las Vegas.
In stark contrast, Congresswoman Susie Lee has been working to secure more funding for Nevada’s students, and is responding to the concerns of parents in her community by coming out in support of common-sense gun safety measures.
PATH TO VICTORY
Nevada’s Third Congressional District encompasses the southern Las Vegas suburbs to the far southern portion of the state. Recently, Democrats have built a small voter registration advantage over Republicans.
Despite the President’s one-point win in the district in 2016, former incumbent and current Senator Jacky Rosen won this district in 2016 and 2018. And in 2018, Rep. Lee kept this seat in Democratic hands, winning by nearly 9 points.
While Republicans will be stuck cleaning up a divisive and expensive primary between Dan and Dan, Nevadans remain united behind independently minded and bipartisan focused Susie Lee, who has outraised the Republican entire field combined while staying focused on the job at hand.
The choice for Nevada’s voters is clear come November – a bipartisan leader in Susie Lee, with a record advocating for education and lowering health care costs, or a criminal Congressional candidate with a violent and dangerous record who can’t deliver the independent leadership that Nevada families expect.
