From supporting abortion bans across the country to threatening Social Security and Medicare for Nevada seniors, it’s clear that Robertson’s MAGA ties and far-right allegiances will always come before the best interests of people in Nevada’s First Congressional District.
Mark Robertson Wants to Ban Abortion and Criminalize Doctors
The overwhelming majority of Nevadans agree that women should have the right to control their own bodies and no one should go to jail for an abortion – but Mark Robertson disagrees. Robertson proudly says that he’s “pro-life” and supported the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. This decision led to the heartbreaking and unfathomable stories Nevadans are reading from across the country of women nearly dying from sepsis and being forced to leave their state for health care. Still, Robertson’s anti-abortion extremism knows no bounds. In fact, when Texas passed a near-total abortion ban with no exceptions for rape or incest and that criminalzed health care providers, Robertson cheered them on and encouraged other states to copy Texas.
Dina Titus understands what’s at stake for abortion rights in Nevada and has been meeting the moment. She voted for the Women’s Health Protection Act, to protect abortion rights nationwide. Titus has advocated for funding for Title X, which helps people with low incomes get critical reproductive health care like birth control and breast cancer screenings. Dina Titus’ track record of fighting for reproductive health care and rights is why she was endorsed by Planned Parenthood.
Robertson is a Threat to Social Security and Medicare
Las Vegas seniors would face a serious threat to their financial security should Mark Robertson get to Congress. Robertson supported a policy that would threaten massive cuts to Social Security and Medicare. Even the AARP came out against it, noting that it would like “subject both programs to potentially deep cuts.” Unfortunately for Robertson, his attacks on Social Security and Medicare will cost him the support of Nevadans who count on the benefits they’ve earned after a lifetime of work.
MAGA Mark: The Enthusiastic Trump Yes Man
Mark Robertson is a Trump-loving MAGA extremist who is eager to carry out the convicted felon’s unpopular, far-right agenda. After Trump was found guilty on 34 federal counts, Robertson was quick to come to his defense, claiming, “This conviction will not stand through the appeals process.” That’s no surprise given Robertson and Trump’s long-standing friendship. At a Trump rally in Las Vegas in 2022, Trump gave Robertson a shout out after Robertson perpetuated the Big Lie about the 2020 election results. Robertson proudly accepted endorsements from the likes of election-deniers such as Andy Biggs, who wanted a presidential pardon for his role in the January 6th insurrection. If elected, he would be a rubber-stamp for the MAGA agenda and yet another House Republican taking orders from Donald Trump at the expense of hardworking Nevada families.

Nevada’s First Congressional District has consistently voted for a Democrat at the congressional, gubernatorial, senate, and presidential level for over a decade. There are nearly 50,000 more registered Democratic voters than Republican voters in this district. Cook Political Report rates NV-01 as Likely Democrat. Nevadans will likely be voting on an abortion ballot initiative this fall. Since Roe fell, every time pro-abortion rights referendums have been on the ballot, they’ve passed.
We already know how this race ends. When presented with Dina Titus, who has a reputation for fighting for Nevada families, versus Mark Robertson’s radical MAGA agenda, Nevadans elected Titus. Since then, Titus’ continued leadership and advocacy for Nevada families has only given them more reasons to re-elect her. There’s no question that Nevadans will once again choose Titus to continue fighting for them in Congress.
