Sanford Bishop is a hard worker, bipartisan problem solver, a public servant at heart, and the person Georgians can count on to fight for them in Congress. He’s the person with the experience to deliver for farmers, rural communities, veterans, seniors, and working families in Georgia’s 2nd Congressional District – and Georgians will enthusiastically re-elect him this November.
“Big Check Bishop” is focused on delivering for families in Middle and Southwest Georgia. During the pandemic, when small businesses were terrified of shuttering their doors and families weren’t sure if their next paycheck was guaranteed, Bishop worked to pass relief legislation to help Georgians get through. He’s continued to fight for every dollar for his community, securing funding for technology and pandemic relief, local universities, affordable health care access, and more.
In Congress, Rep. Bishop is a consensus builder who works with both sides of the aisle to get things done for Georgians. Bishop’s work with both parties has allowed him to deliver billions to support Middle and Southwest Georgia’s local governments, agriculture and rural communities, military bases and veterans, K-12 and higher education institutions, and law enforcement, while providing lifesaving relief to the people in times of natural disasters.
All of that is on the line this November, because Chris West would work relentlessly to undo that progress and serve as a rubber stamp for the extreme MAGA agenda in DC.
Chris West is too toxic and radical on the issues that matter most for Georgians. In the wake of alarming reports that the Supreme Court of the United States is poised to overturn Roe v. Wade, West’s radical agenda would be nothing short of dangerous for Georgia women. He wants to ban abortion, with no exceptions — not even to save the life of the pregnant woman. West called the leaked SCOTUS news a “great victory,” turning his back on Georgia women who deserve the right to make decisions about their own bodies and futures. Chris West wants abortion banned nationwide, and his hardline agenda could put women’s lives at risk.
To Chris West, your vote isn’t sacred – he’ll gladly toss it out if he doesn’t agree with the outcome of an election. West has repeatedly embraced Donald Trump’s “big lie” and shamelessly spread the conspiracy theory that there was fraud in the 2020 presidential election, parroting the same kind of dangerous rhetoric that has endangered the safety and wellbeing of elections workers across Georgia.
The last thing Georgians need is another rubber stamp for the Republican Party that opposed infrastructure investments, good-paying jobs, COVID-19 relief for small businesses and families, and capping the price of prescription drugs. Voters will re-elect Rep. Sanford Bishop this November.

PATH TO VICTORY
Rep. Sanford Bishop’s path to victory in Georgia’s 2nd Congressional District is clear. The new district spans from Muscogee, Talbot, Taylor, Crawford and Bibb Counties in the north to Thomas, Grady, Decatur, and Seminole Counties on Georgia’s border with Florida, with Dougherty County in its center. Overall, the district contains all or part of 30 counties in rural and suburban southwestern Georgia.
Even under the new lines, President Joe Biden, Raphael Warnock, Jon Ossoff, Stacey Abrams, Hillary Clinton, and Jim Barksdale all would have won in this district. Biden received 54.5% of the major party vote under the new lines, and Warnock and Ossoff received 54.9% and 54.3% respectively in the November 2020 general election.
Voters in GA-02 have consistently supported Democratic candidates up and down the ballot, and Congressman Sanford Bishop is the perfect representative for this seat. Georgians will proudly re-elect him in November.
