40 days out from Election Day, House Republicans are facing “an electoral wildfire.”
The American people are furious over the rising cost of everything, polling shows Democrats with a double-digit lead on the generic ballot with the RCP average increasing every week since Labor Day, and Republicans are trying desperately to distance themselves from the price-hiking agenda they’ve voted for and pushed time and again.
Nowhere has this been clearer than in the profiles in cowardice of María Elvira Salazar, Zach Nunn, and Mariannette Miller-Meeks, all of whom have tried to untangle themselves from the political anchor they created themselves.
Things are so bad that Republicans have thrown out their plan to have Trump campaign in every battleground district… so much for being Republicans’ “secret weapon.”
