Donald Trump’s personal political slush fund – MAGA Inc. – has a branding problem: everyone hates it. To get around this political inconvenience, MAGA Inc. created a new shadowy pop-up Super PAC under the name “No Going Back PAC” placing ads in House battleground races (AL-02, CO-05, CO-08, FL-14, FL-25, IA-01, IA-02, IA-03, KY-06, MI-04, MT-01, NC-11, NM-02, NY-03, NY-17, PA-10, TX-15, TX-34, TX-35, VA-02, WA-03).
Deciding one pop-up isn’t enough to distance themselves from the tarnished MAGA brand, Republicans actually created two. A second one, named “Safety and Affordability PAC” was also recently created to launder MAGA Inc. dollars into a number of House districts (AZ-01, AZ-06, CA-22, CO-03, IA-01, ME-02, MI-04, MI-07, MI-10, NV-03, NY-17, OH-10, OH-15, PA-08, WI-03).
Vulnerable House Republicans, challenger candidates, and now even Trump’s own political operation are all twisting themselves into knots on how to campaign on an unpopular GOP agenda of rising costs, lost health care, a forever war in the Middle East, and a level of corruption Americans are tired of.
Republican candidates are even getting caught scrubbing their websites of Trump and running away from their unpopular agenda, yet still are tarred with the NRCCC label as “MAGA Majority” candidates.
DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“Self awareness is key. D.C. Republicans realize that the MAGA brand is toxic and the American people are souring on Republicans, Trump, and their broken promises over their failure to lower costs. Too bad for them, no rebrand is going to change the fact that voters are motivated to reject them in November.”
