They Said They Wouldn’t Back The Senate Medicaid Cuts. What Will They Do Now?

Last week, a cohort of 16 so-called moderate House Republicans wrote a “letter” to their D.C. Party Bosses shamelessly proclaiming they would not support a bill that makes even deeper cuts to Medicaid than what they have already voted for (which, to be clear, are already devastating cuts).

Now, their moment of truth is upon them. The latest Big, Ugly Bill would result in at least 17 million Americans losing their health care.

These so-called moderates need to state immediately whether they plan to go back on their word:

  • Juan Ciscomani, AZ-06
  • David Valadao, CA-22
  • Young Kim, CA-40
  • Mariannette Miller-Meeks, IA-01
  • Zach Nunn, IA-03
  • Don Bacon, NE-02
  • Mike Lawler, NY-17
  • Rob Bresnahan, PA-08
  • Rob Wittman, VA-01
  • Jen Kiggans, VA-02

Reminder: These are the same phonies who have been lying for months that the House-version of the bill would “protect” Medicaid and food assistance.

DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Tick, tock.”
