| A Bucks County voter is calling out vulnerable Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick for “[betraying] his duty as a Member of Congress” and voting to rubber-stamp Republicans’ reckless war of choice based on “dishonest and deceitful” pretenses.
“Fitzpatrick knows how to read, so one can only conclude that he misled his constituents about the contents of the [war powers] resolution,” the voter said.
“We should make sure he pays for [his vote] in November,” he concludes.
Read the letter for yourself:

- On March 5, Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick voted “No” on the resolution that would have required congressional approval for President Trump to continue the war against Iran.
- He argued that the resolution was “dangerously overbroad” because it would not only stop military action against Iran, it could jeopardize CIA and DoD programs that protect us from Iranian attacks. In fact, the resolution states that “Nothing in this joint resolution may be construed to influence or disrupt any intelligence, counterintelligence, or investigative activities relating to threats in or emanating from Iran.”
- Fitzpatrick knows how to read, so one can only conclude that he misled his constituents about the contents of the resolution and why he voted against it. His explanation for that decision is dishonest and deceitful.
- Given another opportunity to rein in Trump’s war powers on April 16, Fitzpatrick once again voted to allow the President to pursue this ill-conceived, poorly planned war. This is a betrayal of his duty as a Member of Congress. We should make sure he pays for that in November.
