Three Years Later: Anna Paulina Luna Still Stands With Anti-Choice Extremists, Not Her Constituents

Three years after Anna Paulina Luna – in a now hidden tweet – celebrated the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and rip reproductive freedom rights away from women across the country, Anna Paulina Luna continues to side with anti-abortion extremists over Floridians.

In the three years since Luna cheered for the fall of Roe, Americans across the country have watched Republicans in Washington strip their reproductive freedoms away piece by piece. Last year, 64% of Pinellas County voters voted to protect the right to an abortion while Luna supported the state’s near-total abortion ban.

While Luna attempted to dodge questions on her abortion extremism her record tells a clear story:

• Luna proudly described herself as a “pro-life extremist”
• Luna has previously stated that anyone who disagrees with abortion bans in their state should “move somewhere else”
• Has implied that she does not support abortion ban exceptions for rape survivors
• Is a member of the Republican Study Committee that backs a total national abortion ban without exceptions
• Received an A+ rating from an anti-abortion organization
• Voted to elect a Speaker who wants to “get the number of abortions to zero.”
