Three Years Later: Don Bacon Still Stands With Anti-Choice Extremists, Not Women

Three years after Don Bacon celebrated the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and rip reproductive freedom rights away from women across the country, Bacon continues to side with anti-abortion extremists over Nebraskans.

In the three years since Bacon cheered for the fall of Roe, Americans across the country have watched Republicans strip their reproductive freedoms away piece by piece. Meanwhile, Bacon has attempted to erase his anti-abortion record to mislead his constituents — because he knows where his real loyalty lies: with GOP extremists, not Nebraska’s women.

While Bacon has attempted to hide from his anti-choice statements and endorsements, his record tells a clear story: 

• Bacon co-sponsored a nationwide abortion ban with no exceptions three times – not even for rape, incest, or to protect the life of the mother – and would eliminate IVF
• Urged the Supreme Court to allow states to ban hospitals from providing emergency abortions
• Received an A-rating from an anti-abortion organization
• Voted to defund Planned Parenthood
• Voted to elect a Speaker who wants to “get the number of abortions to zero.”
