Shedd Remains Silent as Outrage Grows
Late last week, Arizona GOP Party Chairwoman Kelli Ward came under fire when she tweeted: “Planning protest to #ReOpenAmerica? EVERYONE wear scrubs & masks – the media doesn’t care if you are really in healthcare or not – it’s the ‘message’ that matters.”
Yet despite the warranted outrage over her despicable comments, Tiffany Shedd has remained quiet.
Her silence is particularly noteworthy given how effusive she’s been with praise for Ward. Just last month Shedd called Ward “spot on” in her analysis of COVID-19.
DCCC Spokesperson Sarah Guggenheimer released the following statement:
“As Arizona GOP Party Chair Kelli Ward mocks and dismisses the health care workers who are putting their lives on the line every single day during this global pandemic, voters in Arizona’s 1st congressional district deserve to know if Tiffany Shedd thinks these outrageous comments are ‘spot on.’ Will Shedd continue to tow the party line at any cost, or will she, for once, stand up to her own party and put Arizonans first?”
