House Republicans are prepping a buffet of cuts to critical programs that are creating good-paying jobs, providing affordable health care, and lowering costs for hardworking Americans – all to fund tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations, according to recent reporting.
Their proposed “menu” includes rolling back Affordable Care Act coverage for millions of Americans, severely cutting Medicaid coverage that millions of families and children count on, scrapping food assistance programs, and killing energy jobs across the country.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“By catering to their ultra-wealthy donors, House Republicans are turning their backs on the American people, who asked for lower costs in the last election, with a ‘menu’ of cuts that would gut jobs, increase health care costs, and dismantle programs critical to struggling families.”
