Tom Barrett and Trump’s Project 2025 Will Raise Health Care Costs for Working Families and Seniors

By backing Donald Trump, Barrett is embracing his far-right agenda

Tom Barrett and Trump’s Project 2025 is an extreme manifesto that would have far-reaching consequences if House Republicans and Trump were to win in November.

Barrett’s Project 2025 would raise health care costs and threaten access to care for hardworking American families by: 

• Raising costs for 3.3 million people nationwide on Medicare by eliminating the Inflation Reduction Act caps on prescription drugs – including the $35 per month cap on insulin.

• Forcing more than 13 million Americans to pay more for their health care insurance by raising premiums.

• Raising costs on workers by putting a new tax on health insurance for millions who get insurance through their employer.

• Limiting benefits for disabled veterans by allowing fewer health conditions to qualify for disability benefits.

These far reaching Project 2025 proposals are deeply unpopular with voters – a large majority of voters oppose the agenda as they learn more about it.
