As Republicans desperately try to divert attention from their dangerous and extreme anti-abortion position, Kevin McCarthy is traveling to Michigan to try and rescue failing candidates like Tom Barrett. Continuous coverage of Tom Barrett’s effort to hide his “100% pro-life – no exceptions” stance highlights how poorly Barrett’s campaign is going.
McCarthy traveled to Michigan because he knows Barrett will be a loyal supporter of Republicans’ dangerous agenda, including a nationwide abortion ban. Kevin McCarthy is an extremist looking for accomplices in Washington. Meeting in private with Kevin McCarthy, who is out to enact a radical right-wing agenda, is ironic given Barrett’s attempts to try and hide his extreme positions in public.
As reality closes in on Republicans’ “Red Wave” pipe dream, Tom Barrett’s extreme agenda comes into focus as a major liability. No matter what he tries to delete from the internet, campaigning with Kevin McCarthy cements Barrett’s intention to put party loyalty over what’s best for mid-Michigan.
