| As the Trump administration considers cancelling grants for GM and Stellantis that are investing in Michigan manufacturing and supporting hundreds of auto jobs for Michigan workers, what is Tom Barrett doing?
Nothing.
Spineless Tom Barrett refuses to take a stand against this proposal to slash $800 million in grant funding that will kill union auto jobs in mid-Michigan, including 700 at Lansing’s Grand River plant.
REMINDER: Barrett never supported this investment coming to Lansing, because he opposes the Inflation Reduction Act – which funds these grants fueling American manufacturing and helping create Michigan union auto jobs.
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Cowardly Tom Barrett won’t stand up for Michigan workers and American manufacturing because he’s loyal to his party bosses above all else. Barrett should grow a spine, do his job, and take a stand against slashing hundreds of Lansing jobs – but he won’t, and it’s one of the many reasons why he’ll be a one-term congressman.” |
