In a despicable interview with The News & Advance on Donald Trump’s attack on the Gold Star Khan family, Tom Garrett – the Republican candidate running to represent the Khan family in Congress – said that Trump’s comments simply “hurt somebody feelings.”
“Tom Garrett has managed to disparage the Gold Star Khan family even further, by calling their reaction to Donald Trump’s attacks ‘hurt feelings’,” said Jermaine House of the DCCC. “Garrett’s offensive remarks prove that just as Trump is unfit to be President of the United States, Tom Garrett is unfit to represent Virginians, like the Khan family, in Congress.”
