Tom Kean Jr. Lied to Voters, Votes to Restrict Abortion Freedoms

Tom Kean Jr. lied to voters when he tried to claim he was pro-choice and “jumbled” his responses on supporting abortion rights, despite already voting against codifying abortion rights under Roe in the New Jersey Legislature and launching a secret issues page during his congressional campaign saying he would fight “egregious abortion laws proposed in New Jersey” and continue to do so in Congress.

Yesterday, Kean further proved just how much of a hypocrite he is when he and his fellow MAGA House Republicans voted to pass anti-choice legislation that could imprison doctors and is “chock-full of misinformation and creates more barriers to care.”

This is on top of Kean’s vote earlier this week that blocked consideration of the Women’s Health Protection Act which would codify the reproductive freedoms Roe v. Wade guaranteed before the Supreme Court ripped them away.

As women across the country endure the unimaginable, brutal consequences of Republican’s war on women, Tom Kean Jr. is fully embracing his MAGA stripes and doubling down on his anti-choice agenda.
