Tom Kean Jr. Voted to Increase Prescription Drug Costs and Junk Fees

Yesterday, Tom Kean Jr. rejected a bipartisan compromise on the Energy & Commerce that would have cracked down on junk fees and lowered drug costs.

The amendment – which Kean Jr. voted to block – would lower the high cost of living for middle-class families by banning abusive pricing practices by pharma middlemen and crack down on junk fees by requiring upfront, all-in pricing on hotels, vacation rentals, and live-event tickets.

Just a few short months into his second term, Kean Jr. has proven to be just another partisan doormat for Elon Musk who refuses to do anything to lower costs.

DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Before he gets to work on enacting the largest cut to Medicaid in history, Tom Kean Jr. is already voting to make medicine more expensive and greenlight higher junk fees on working families. New Jerseyans can’t afford Kean Jr. and his disastrous anti-New Jersey policies.”
