Tom Kean Jr. shouldn’t be fooling anyone on where he stands on abortion. In an absurd twist, Kean claimed he was “pro-choice” in a statement to the New Jersey Globe.
Let’s be clear: Kean Jr. is not pro-choice or pro-women.

Kean voted repeatedly against funding Planned Parenthood.

When he had the chance to stand up for women in New Jersey, he sided with radical MAGA Republicans and voted against protecting women’s freedom of reproductive choice in New Jersey. This is the law that protects New Jersey women’s rights now that the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade.
Kean’s claim after his vote is political cynicism at its worst.
He still hasn’t answered why he voted against codifying the right for a woman to access abortion or why he is aligning with MAGA Republicans who have already said they will vote to ban abortion nationwide if given control of Congress.
