| For six straight weeks, Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn have refused to address the health care crisis they created.
As millions of Americans begin shopping for health care tomorrow during the start of open enrollment, Iowans will log on and see higher health care premiums because Miller-Meeks and Nunn would rather be on vacation than working to find a bipartisan solution to their health care crisis.
Because Miller-Meeks, Nunn, and Republicans refuse to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits, 100,000 Iowans will face – on average – more than double the cost next year, forcing many to abandon their health coverage altogether. This is despite the overwhelming majority of Americans who support Congress extending the ACA tax credits.
Yesterday, the DCCC released a new digital ad in IA-01 and IA-03 to hold Miller-Meeks and Nunn accountable for their refusal to take action and failure to lower costs.
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn are failing Iowans. Open enrollment begins tomorrow, but Miller-Meeks and Nunn are on vacation and millions of Americans will face higher costs – or be forced to go without health care – because they want to shut the government down. Miller-Meeks and Nunn will own these price spikes and lose their seats next year because of this cruelty.”
Reminder of what this means for Iowans:
