| For six straight weeks, Max Miller, Mike Turner, and Mike Carey have refused to address the health care crisis they created.
As millions of Americans begin shopping for health care tomorrow during the start of open enrollment, Ohioans will log on and see higher health care premiums because Miller, Turner, and Carey would rather be on vacation than working to find a bipartisan solution to their health care crisis.
Because Miller, Turner, Carey and Republicans refuse to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits, 427,000 Ohioans will face – on average – more than double the cost next year, forcing many to abandon their health coverage altogether. This is despite the overwhelming majority of Americans who support Congress extending the ACA tax credits.
Yesterday, the DCCC released a new digital ad in OH-07, OH-10, and OH-15 to hold Miller, Turner, and Carey accountable for their refusal to take action and failure to lower costs.
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Max Miller, Mike Turner, and Mike Carey are failing Ohioans. Open enrollment begins tomorrow, but Miller, Turner, and Carey are on vacation and millions of Americans will face higher costs – or be forced to go without health care – because they want to shut the government down. Miller, Turner, and Carey will own these price spikes and lose their seats next year because of this cruelty.”
