While Donald Trump gleefully marches along posting disgusting, unserious deepfake memes while simultaneously ordering harmful cuts and mass firings, Mike Johnson defends it all by cheerily saying that Republicans are ‘having fun’ during the government shutdown.

Speaking to reporters today, Mike Johnson, while defending Donald Trump’s offensive memes and deepfakes, said:

“Is he trolling the Democrats? Yes. I mean, yes, because that’s what President Trump does, and people are having fun with this.”

DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“Republicans caused a health care crisis, marched us into a government shutdown, and now are ‘having fun’ with spreading lies online and firing people. They aren’t even pretending anymore. Republicans only care about falling in line behind a President who is obsessed with doling out maximum pain to millions of Americans.”
