Rather than meet his constituents face-to-face, Congressman Ryan Mackenzie will sit behind his desk and hold a telephone town hall tonight, Wednesday July 23rd, at 6:15 p.m.
Reminder: Mackenzie has “not yet held an in-person town hall” throughout his entire first 6 months in Congress, and has faced weekly protests outside of his district office for selling out his constituents.
While the Congressman hides behind a screen as his staff controls questions, it doesn’t change the fact that his constituents deserve answers about his disastrous record. Here are a few questions Congressman Mackenzie should have to answer:
- Why did you vote to gut Medicaid and potentially kick more than 26,000 of your constituents off their health insurance?
- Why did you “laud” the Big, Ugly Bill that explodes the national debt by $3.4 trillion, raises energy costs, eliminates investment and jobs in the Lehigh Valley, and jeopardizes rural hospitals – all to fund more tax cuts for billionaires?
- Why have you fully “defended” Trump’s sweeping and reckless tariffs that have led to layoffs at Mack Trucks’ Lehigh Valley Operations, pushing your own constituents out of good-paying jobs and jacking up prices?
- Why have you done nothing to lower costs and make life more affordable for working families?
- Bonus Question: Did you ask your tax-payer funded congressional staff to wipe your Wikipedia page from mentioning the fact that you lied about your age on your Tinder bio by 8 years?
