“TOO LATE”: Pennsylvania’s Republican Congressmen Allow Health Care Costs to Skyrocket

The Executive Director of Pennsylvania’s insurance exchange is sounding the alarm about Republicans in Congress allowing ACA tax credits to expire – warning that it may be too late to protect Pennsylvanians “from explosive sticker shock.”

Executive Director Devon Trolley warns in POLITICO“Every single day that passes, the risk is higher [that] we will not be able to update the information in time.”

REMINDER: Pennsylvanians are already seeing the consequences of Republican Congressmen Ryan Mackenzie, Rob Bresnahan, Scott Perry, and Brian Fitzpatrick’s failure to extend these critical health care tax credits. The Pennsylvania Insurance Commission on Tuesday announced new 2026 rates for Pennie users, and premiums could “more than double” for some Pennsylvanians.

Meanwhile, Mackenzie, Bresnahan, Perry, Fitzpatrick and House Republicans have skipped town and refuse to vote to extend the ACA tax credits.

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Ryan Mackenzie, Rob Bresnahan, Scott Perry, and Brian Fitzpatrick would rather shut down the government than do their jobs and prevent Pennsylvanians from facing skyrocketing health care costs. Pennsylvanians are now getting notified of massive price spikes, and Republicans in Congress are to blame.”
