| After voting multiple times to rubber-stamp Trump’s chaotic, price-spiking tariffs and refusing to lift a finger to stop rising gas prices, Mike Lawler’s record of jacking up costs on Hudson Valley families has gotten so bad that fellow members of Congress are calling it out to his face on national TV.
In a recent CNN interview, Congressman Sam Liccardo put it plainly when asked about the impacts of Trump’s reckless war in Iran:
Rep. Liccardo: “I think the good news for Congressman Lawler’s constituents is nothing enables them to forget the painful impact of Trump’s tariffs like $4 a gallon gas, and it’s only going to go up.”
Lawler’s awkward silence is shocking given that he hasn’t held back in the past about calling the war in Iran a “righteous decision” that’s “ absolutely worth it.” DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“If Mike Lawler spent half as much time making life affordable for Hudson Valley families as he does defending Trump’s price-hiking agenda, maybe he wouldn’t be getting called out on national television by his own colleague.”
