Top McCarthy Ally Invokes Great Replacement Conspiracy Theory

A new report from the Associated Press highlights the GOP’s steady embrace of anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist Marjorie Taylor Greene, despite her dangerous rhetoric. The report acknowledges that if the GOP were to win a majority, “Greene is poised to become an influential player shaping the GOP agenda, an agitator with clout.”

As a product of Kevin McCarthy’s weak leadership and self-serving ploy for power, Greene has risen through the ranks avoiding any discipline or condemnation for her violence-inciting rhetoric. At a Trump rally in Arizona just yesterday, Greene claimed that migrants were “replacing” Americans and American culture. This full-throated embrace of “Great Replacement Theory” has proven to incite race-motivated violence like the mass shooting in Buffalo, New York.

DCCC spokesperson Tommy Garcia:
“Instead of condemning the anti-Semitic, racist, or violent rhetoric of Marjorie Taylor Greene, Kevin McCarthy has turned to full embrace as he desperately seeks to run the MAGA GOP conference. There is no such thing as a moderate Republican anymore – from top to bottom, House Republicans are coddling the most extreme flanks as part of their party’s platform.”
