More troubles are on the horizon for Scott Perry after a Republican launched a primary campaign in Pennsylvania’s 10th district to take out the incumbent.
This is only the latest in a string of bad headlines for Perry, whose campaign has faltered between abysmal fundraising and a slew of credible lawsuits.
In October, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Perry “cleared just under $1,900 in fundraising from July to September.” Perry also spent $75,000 on two months of legal fees defending his failed attempt to overturn the election.
With a 34% approval rating and historically low re-election prospects, the non-partisan Cook Political Report recently shifted the race rating in Democrats favor, highlighting that Perry has proven himself “financially and legally weaker now.”
DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“Scott Perry has spent years prioritizing the MAGA agenda and partisan games over the needs of Pennsylvania families and workers. Now it’s all catching up to him. With a new primary challenge and mounting campaign woes, even Republicans are getting sick of Perry’s antics.”
