After Donald Trump kicked off the new year by celebrating his “miracle” efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade, he is now seeking a national abortion ban.
Bryan Steil, who’s already pushing an extreme anti-abortion agenda, will no doubt embrace Trump’s efforts to ban abortion. Steil called the Dobbs decision a “great victory” and votedtwice against the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would codify Roe’s protections of reproductive freedom.
This Congress, Steil voted to allow federal funds to spread misinformation and target women who seek essential health care, and to block reproductive health care access for members of the armed services.
