After Donald Trump kicked off the new year by celebrating his “miracle” efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade, he is now seeking a national abortion ban.
Derrick Van Orden, who has endorsed Trump for president and attended his “Stop the Steal” rally on January 6th that led to a deadly insurrection, will no doubt embrace Trump’s efforts to ban abortion. Van Orden is already pushing an extreme anti-abortion agenda, saying he’s “100% pro-life” and even comparing abortion to “genocide.”
In Congress, Van Orden has voted to allow federal funds to spread misinformation and target women who seek essential health care, and to block reproductive health care access for members of the armed services.
DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“Derrick Van Orden has never hidden the fact that he wants politicians to make personal health care decisions for women. Wisconsinites will reject his dangerous anti-abortion agenda in November.”
