Trump Claims He’s “Won Affordability.” The American People Disagree.

At a campaign event in Georgia, Donald Trump claimed he has “won affordability” despite prices rising across the board, a GOP-caused health care crisis, and consumer confidence at all time lows.
TRUMP: “I have to listen to the fake news talking about ‘affordability… Affordability.’ Do you notice, what word haven’t you heard over the last two weeks? Affordability. Because I’ve won. I won affordability.”

The American people disagree – resoundingly.

According to a recent poll from Fox News, Trump is 19 points underwater on the economy, being dragged down by Latino (-26) and Independent voters (-60). 78% of Independents and 68% of voters overall do not think Trump is spending enough time on the economy.

So just how bad is Trump’s economy? On the same week Trump declared he “won affordability,” retail giants like Target and Walmart announced they will raise prices by 10%.

REMINDER: This week, the DCCC released a memo highlighting how Democrats will use the GOP’s 2024 broken promise to lower costs to defeat them in 2026.

DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Donald Trump is destroying the economy in real-time with his cost-increasing tariffs and disastrous One Big, Ugly Law. The real question is: Do the vulnerable House Republicans agree with Trump’s assessment of the economy?”
