Congressman Curbelo and his office have made it perfectly clear he’d be open to campaigning with Donald Trump “on the issues in which he agrees with them” and as long as they support his “approach to public service.”
Now that Donald Trump is traveling to Miami on Monday to promote his tax handout to special interests, big corporations, and Curbelo himself, we’d love to know whether Rep. Curbelo will be joining him. After all, Curbelo has made it clear the tax bill is going to be the centerpiece of his re-election campaign and he was proud to stand with Speaker Ryan at the press conference following its passage.
“Congressman Carlos Curbelo was proud to help author the tax bill that President Trump signed, writing himself a generous handout, while increasing healthcare costs for countless working families in south Florida,” said Cole Leiter, DCCC spokesperson. “Now that the President is in Miami to sell that bill, will Congressman Curbelo join him or will he hide and avoid the pictures that highlight he has already voted with the President more than 80% of the time?”
