Trump Overturning Roe v. Wade Has Reinvigorated Attacks from John Duarte and David Valadao on Reproductive Freedom

Yesterday, former President Trump once again bragged about overturning Roe v. Wade, which paved the way for states to implement draconian abortion and IVF bans. Since the Court’s decision in Dobbs, John Duarte and David Valadao have joined their extreme colleagues to restrict abortion care nationwide.

For example:

• Duarte and Valadao have passed two anti-abortion bills that spread misinformation and anti-choice rhetoric, doing nothing to help women and families

• Duarte voted for a poison-pilled Ag-FDA spending bill that would have restricted the sale of mifepristone nationwide, while Valadao was a co-sponsor of the abortion-banning Life at Conception Act – with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the woman.
