Trump says it’s ‘Not Possible’ for the U.S. to pay for Medicaid, Medicare and Daycare – Will Desmond Speak Up?

In a stark admission of exactly where Donald Trump and House Republicans’ priorities lie, the president admitted yesterday his desire to cut Medicare, Medicaid, and child care funding – citing the need for more military spending in his war driving up gas prices for Californians to $6/ gallon.

The comments come as Southern California families are already facing skyrocketing health care costs thanks to Republicans’ historic Medicaid cuts, and as they’re being crushed by the rising costs of groceries, gas, and child care.

Yet Issa-endorsed Jim Desmond – who has said he’s in line with Trump’s cost-raising agenda – is silent.

DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Donald Trump just said the quiet part out loud: Republicans aren’t interested in lowering costs for working families because they’re more focused on tax breaks for billionaires and funding endless wars. Desmond has backed this agenda and voters deserve to know where he stands on this latest blunder.”
